NSW Floods and Support

Our thoughts are with our members across NSW who have been affected by the terrible floods.

If you are wondering what you and your social enterprise can do to help, thank you for your kindness ❤️

Please be aware that the state of emergency is still ongoing and our amazing emergency services are at full capacity supporting those affected. During this time please do not contact emergency services to ask questions about volunteering.

Once the state of emergency has ceased there will be a call for recovery volunteers.

If you want to help, you can pre-register your interest in volunteering for disaster recovery organisations on the Emergency Volunteering Support website for NSW.

Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) has set up a National Flood Appeal to help our neighbours impacted by the floods and they will be the beneficiaries of money raised by the Appeal. They will be able to liaise with their local Rotary Club to advise of their needs.

The money raised will go directly and quickly to support those impacted, providing essential items and financial support where disaster relief and insurance claims won’t stretch.

If you are in an affected area, please stay safe and look after your friends, family and neighbours as much as possible. There are a number of helpful resources on the NCOSS website.

For storm or flood advice and warnings visit NSW SES or www.ses.nsw.gov.au, or for help phone 132 500.

Members, if you have an "ask" in the clean up or an "offer" for support, please let us know and we’ll share with our community. Send us an email at hello@secna.org.au and we will be in touch as soon as we can. ❤️
